First off just want to apologize for the lack of posts; life catches up with me sometimes! I am leaving for Ireland in less than a week with a crazy schedule ahead of me!
Just wanna say, thanks for sticking with me :)
Okay lets get right down to it. Whatever age you might be, life can be hectic. Whether you are 16, stressing out about getting your drivers license, school dances, boys/girls and sports. The list goes on and on. Or you are a young adult, looking for a full time job meanwhile struggling to pay your rent amongst your 4 roommates.
The truth is no matter how old or young you are somebody has some kind of problem in their life they are dealing with. It may be small or it may be huge.
With that being said, as a friend it gets hard to make time for your friends. Your volleyball schedule may have you traveling like crazy or your job makes you work 10 hr days; the days start slipping away from you.

When your life becomes crazy, it starts to become really easy to blow off your friends, family or even love interests. It first starts off oh I can't make it just this one time, then its two times to three to more than you can count on two hands.
Sure, we get it. Life happens and every time you make plans they might not happen. But lets be realistic, you HAVE the time you just make time for people that are the highest on your priority list.
If Beyonce can tuck her baby girl Blue in at night after touring and catching a red eye light from London to NY then YOU HAVE TIME TO EAT SUSHI ONCE A WEEK WITH A GIRLFRIEND FOR 1 HOUR.
That was something that really started to bug me. And the phrase just constantly stuck with me, "Ah sorry I can't I'm busy." Over and over and over.....
I remember a couple weeks ago having this conversation with a girlfriend of mine and I was telling her about a really great book I had read that I thought she would totally love. Her response was, "Ugh I wish I had the time. I am just so busy with work and school. I have absolutely no time."

Like what? You have no time to read? You are telling me at 23 years old, you don't have time to expand your mind to read and learn new things. I was blown away by that answer. As I stated earlier, you're not Beyonce. You can make time to read a 200 page book, if you really want to.
But that's exactly what it comes down to. If you WANT to. It goes back to talking about your goals and priority list in life.
I love learning and reading new things. I always want to know more and be more. I never ever want to limit myself relationally or mentally. What are your priorities in life? Are they about partying? Going out with your friends? Are they about your internship? Your new job? Whatever they may be, find a balance within yourself. Life is way too short to place any limits on yourself.
I am all about giving your best in whatever your doing but make time for the ones that you care about. Life is too precious to pass up a fishing trip with your Dad or a baseball game with your Grandma.

If you are reading this, I challenge you to re-evaluate your priority list if you think it needs some work. Make those changes and if you think you don't need to make any changes than I challenge you to reach out to a friend you haven't seen in awhile and have dinner or coffee with him/her.
All your family/friends make time for you so make time for them!!!!!!
Xoxo,
A Guy's Girl
