5 Essential Nightly Rituals That Make A Successful Person

I've come to the conclusion some people are either a morning person or a night time person.
Which one are you? I like to think I'm more of a morning person, no I don't wake up at 6:30 AM like some morning people but I like to think I get up early enough to get a considerable amount of stuff done in the morning. I have my certain routine that I do every morning; consisting of a lot of updating on my clients sites and answering endless emails. But I try to do all my busy work in the morning really opening the rest of my day up!
Something that has come to bother me with some of my friends, is the lack of routine. They wake up super late in the morning because they don't have to work until later in the afternoon - in my eyes that's like choosing to waste half of your day. Why would anyone choose to do that? As important as having a morning routine is, it is just as important to establish a series of nightly rituals you do as well.

Some of my younger readers may be thinking, I like to go out at nights. I couldn't possibly do the same things night in and night out. I used to think like that until I started college and started to have to manage my time better. I would slave away all day doing projects and homework and have no time for myself.
When you start to get extremely busy, you get obviously stressed out. It's important to do something daily for yourself to help you unwind. Why should you do that? First off, if you are so stressed out you can't eat properly or get the right amount of sleep. Without both of those things there is no way you can be productive in your day.

So here's a couple nightly rituals to try - and in my opinion can set anybody up on the right track to living a very successful lifestyle.
5. Write out to-do lists
I know it's easier to jot notes down on your phone but take that extra time to write out what you need to do and why you need it. It will instill it in your brain for a longer period of time (science proves it!)
4. Read a new article every night
Whether you're an avid book reader or not, knowledge is power! The more you know the more successful you'll be in your life.
3. Read motivational quotes
I know night time is the perfect time to scroll through your newsfeeds, so why not make it productive? Read some quotes to get your brain moving and thinking towards the future.
2. Take time to self reflect
Light a candle, drink a beer, listen to some tunes, do whatever you need by yourself and take some time to think about your day (good or bad) and some things you wanna work on. The best way to achieve goals is continue to do small things everyday while you work towards them.
1. Say Your Prayers
Don't forget to thank the big guy upstairs for everything you have!

You don't have to do all 5 of these things but I challenge you to try one and see how the rest of your days ago. I think you'll be suprised how good you feel about yourself!
Xoxo,
A Guy's Girl
