Okay blog friends, this is my Dad (AKA the #1 best person in the entire world).

Friday, is his birthday so I thought I'd write a little about what's he has taught me through his high standards and all my favorite moments together we've shared (even though there's too many to count, I'll try my best) hehe. Pictures included :)

When I was younger my Dad never let me have an animal because our backyard was too small but I was the biggest animal lover back in the day (still am) and I used to walk my neighbor's dogs and pretend they were mine. One day, a little skinny kitty came to my jouse and I started to feed it. Sooner than later that kitty made it's way inside my house sleeping in my bedroom. Dad didn't want a cat but he knew how much she meant to me and let me keep her anyways. She passed away a couple years ago and I miss her a lot.

A couple years into having our first kitty I had the opportunity to adopt another one through a friend at school, Dad wasn't stoked but again he let me bring her home. I have had Kiki since I was in 8th Grade! Some of our favorite hobbies are cuddling, attacking each other and eating ice cream together.

Fast forward a couple years and we now have 2 weiner dogs, which mean the whole world to me.

I think it's time we back track a little to when I was in Kindergarten. I always have had the craziest hair but my Dad always made me feel like I looked the coolest because of it. He taught me at a young age that it was totally okay to not look like everybody else because it was way more rad to be yourself.

My Dad also taught me how to work hard in any sport that I tried and how to make goals and reach them. He was always challenging me even at a young age to want to be more and do better. He never once told me I couldn't do something even if I wasn't the best at it. We would spend hours at the field hitting ground balls and doing batting practice. He made me reach for the stars back then and right now. I like to think I am a goal-oriented woman today because of the way he raised me. Also, I think that's why I am so dang competitive, haha!

He passed on to me his love of anything water related. He taught me at a young age how important it was to be water safe and how fun it was to be in the water. He taught me how to swim again after I got hurt and he would throw me over his shoulder to get to the ocean. He knows how much I love it. To this day, all my friends call me the mermaid of our group because they can't ever get me out of the water. I think that was my Dad's doing!

I got to grow up in the most beautiful place on earth and pretty much got whatever I wanted (to a degree) because of how hard my Dad works for our family. Not pictured: All the fun family trips :)

He taught me to ALWAYS believe in myself and never once has doubted my potential. Even after my accident, he continued to push me and have faith in me. It never has once waivered.

My Dad and my Mom gave me the biggest gift on the entire planet, my little sister Kendall. The most unjudgemental, caring, kind, beautiful and supportive (sometimes overprotective) person in my life. My days are so much better when she is in them. I didn't even know it was possible to love someone so much.

Lastly, he taught me how to have FUN. That is what he is so good at!!!! Everywhere we go we have a blast. He is the funniest person I know. Whenever I go to a good concert, you are the person I want to tell it about.
