My 2015 Oscar Predictions

Awards season is among us!

Every year, I have always enjoyed going to see all the Oscar nominated movies. Mostly because I love predicting who the winners are going to be. If you know me, you know that I am a TOUGH movie critic to please. So I pride myself on knowing a good movie when I see it. Also, I LOVE watching the pre-oscar red carpet. I love seeing all the celebs in their gorgeous gowns.

Below you'll find a list of the Oscar nominees in the biggest categories, along with my picks of who I think should win in the following categories: Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, and Best Director.

Best Picture

• Birdman (didn't see that one)

• Boyhood

• Selma

• The Theory of Everything

• The Imitation Game

• The Grand Budapest Hotel

• American Sniper

• Whiplash

My prediction: Boyhood or American Sniper will take it home.

But Birdman is right up there according to internet predictions.

Actor in a Leading Role

• Michael Keaton, Birdman

• Eddie Redmayne, The Theory of Everything

• Benedict Cumberbatch, The Imitation Game

• Steve Carell, Foxcatcher

• Bradley Cooper, American Sniper

My prediction: Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything

Actress in a Leading Role

• Julianne Moore, Still Alice

• Felicity Jones, The Theory of Everything

• Rosamund Pike, Gone Girl

• Reese Witherspoon, Wild

• Marion Cotillard, Two Days One Night

My prediction: Julianne Moore for Still Alice

Actor in a Supporting Role

• J.K. Simmons, Whiplash

• Edward Norton, Birdman

• Ethan Hawke, Boyhood

• Mark Ruffalo, Foxcatcher

• Robert Duvall, The Judge

My prediction: Mark Ruffalo for Foxcatcher

But the internet's predictions are on J.K. Simmons.

Actress in a Supporting Role

• Patricia Arquette, Boyhood

• Emma Stone, Birdman

• Keira Knightley, The Imitation Game

• Meryl Streep, Into the Woods

• Laura Dern, Wild

My prediction: Patricia Arquette for Boyhood

But let's be real, it's a hard fight when one of your fellow nominees is Meryl Streep.

Directing

• Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Birdman

• Richard Linklater, Boyhood

• Wes Anderson, The Grand Budapest Hotel

• Morten Tyldum, The Imitation Game

• Bennett Miller, Foxcatcher

My prediction: Richard Linklater for Boyhood
