50 Shades of Bae

Two words, HOT DAMN.

Like most of the world, I saw 50 Shades of Grey this weekend. I was a little hesitant going into it because like most people who read the books they get severely let down when the movie isn't as good as you hoped it would be. Also, I was sure about the casting choice. In my mind, Christian Grey would of been played by Matt Bomer or Ryan Gosling. But hey, I don't call the shots.

Nevertheless, my boyfriend and I went to it. I thought Jamie Dornan did a fantastic job of playing Christian Grey and I am a hard movie critic to please. I was bothered when I read some of the movie critics reviews later though and also some of the celebrities views (which are so important, NOT) about the movie.

I think people focus so much on the BDSM parts of the movie that they forgot what the movie is actually about. It is a LOVE story. It definitely takes you awhile to understand that it is just that. Christian goes from a troubling start in life to getting his world rocked by Anastasia. People don't just change over night. Christian has only known one way of love his whole life until he met Anastasia. So many people got caught up on his whole way of pleasure and forgot that was all he ever knew. It wasn't about hurting women it was about pleasuring them, which he thought he was doing. He then comes to realize what he has been doing this whole time really isn't what you do to people when you love them and at the end of the movie he knows he made a mistake and doesn't want to let her go. I think people are going to be surprised to see his dramatic changes in his persona throughout the next movies. If you haven't read the books then I suggest you hop on the bandwagon and do so!
