Smells Of The Season

Remember in middle school when the boys wore that Axe cologne and it was so potent we thought we were eating it every time they walked into a room?

Yeah, you don't wanna be one of those boys.

Unfortunately, so many girls think that it's a good decision to spray their perfume 17 times before they go out. When they arrive to their destination, their scent is so strong that people smell the perfume they are wearing before they even walk in the room. It's one thing if your perfume smells great, but when your perfume is an awful scent then we have to do something about that.

Coming from a lady, who has probably tried every perfume in the books. I have had my fair share of horrible to amazing perfumes. In middle school, I loved the Paris Hilton perfume. Embarassing, I know. But back then I was really into perfumes with a sweet smell. In high school, I shifted to more of a fruity scent, still sweet but not as potent. My favorite perfume was DKNY Be Delicious (the green apple one.) I still like that one today. After high school was over I migrated to a less sweet scent and a more shower fresh smell. The perfume that I wear today varies from day to day. When I get out of the shower, I enjoy wearing the original Michael Kors scent. But if I am going to go out at night I'll wear a little bit of a stronger scent like Versace Bright Crystal.

Since the holidays are coming up, I thought I'd write about some good smells of the season if you're thinking of getting someone a bottle of perfume but have no idea where to start. You first have to know what kind of scent they like to wear (ex. sweet, fruity, fresh) Then you'll know what direction to go in. All of the perfumes listed below are available at Nordstroms or most department stores. The scents are kinda on the pricy side but they will last you a long, long time.

A fruity scent. A fan favorite.

A very sweet scent.
