Cheers to almost winter break and doing absolutely nothing but binge watching Netflix and eating Christmas cookies.

Netflix has a treasure trove of awesome movies that you can stream right now, but if you’re looking for more than just a two-hour commitment, it’s also got a boatload of great TV shows you can delve into to keep yourself occupied for days, or even weeks on end. If you just finished a good series and you need a new one to fill the void, Netflix is your girl.

Nothing beats a weekend-long marathon with no commercials, so without further ado, I give you my tightly-curated list of the best Netflix TV shows rated from my number one pick to number seven.

8. Hemlock Grove- This Sci-Fi Netflix original series is one of the weirdest shows you will ever be hooked on. It is filled with tragedy, mystery, and even a love story twist. The first season starts a little show but then picks up quickly towards the end and the second season is just WOW. Watch if you dare.

7. Revenge- An ABC network series set in the beautiful East Hampton, New York where a young woman seeks revenge towards all the people that had a hand in her father's death. This show is kind of soap-opery but as cheesy as it gets is as hard as you can't stop watching.

6. The Killing- An AMC series revolved around Detective Sarah Linden and her quest to solve all the kidnappings and homicides in her town. Personally, I am a sucker for murder mysteries. Season one is a building season that really sets the table for the last three. I watched all four in a couple weeks, sorry not sorry.

5. The Following- The best show on FOX by far. The Following is based around cult leader Joe Carroll and Agent Ryan Hardy's/ FBI's quest to catch and stop him. This is one you have to watch.

4. American Horror Story- If you can't handle scary movies then you shouldn't watch this show. Horror films are my pride and joy so I eat this show up. Each season has the name actors/actresses but they play different roles. FX says the shows aren't correlated but I think there are. The first season and the fourth one (Freak Show) are my favorites.

3. Orange is the New Black- Holy wow. Easily the best show Netflix has ever produced and they release a whole series at a time so we can binge watch. Protagonist, Piper Chapman, 30, is a public relations executive whose past catches up to her when she gets sentenced to 1-year in a women's prison. The first season blows you away and the second one just confirms why you're addicted.

2. Sons of Anarchy- This show would easily be my #1 if Breaking Bad was never made. Sons of Anarchy is the BEST show on primetime television. Jax Teller and his outlaw motorcycle club protects and patrols the town of Charming by keeping drug dealers away, its activities also include a thriving and illegal arms business. You can't keep your eyes off this dysfunctional family. Just when you think this show can't blow your mind anymore, they do it again. It is in it's final season and I can't wait to see what happens.

1. Breaking Bad- AMC hit this one out of the park. This might possibly be the greatest television show of all time. Protagonist, Walter White is shocked when he learns he has terminal cancer and realizing that his illness probably will destroy his family financially, Walter makes a desperate bid to earn as much money as he can in the time he has left by turning an old RV into a meth lab on wheels with his former student. The beginning, middle, and end will bring you to your knees. Start right now.

Happy Binging!

Xoxo,

A Guy's Girl
